Small edit: I originally said Syngman Rhee was a Japanese collaborator. He was actually a US puppet, having studied at Princeton while his country was being massacred by the Japanese, and the next dictator (Park Chung Hee) was the collaborator. I've updated the article and I think I got all instances.
Due to eye strain only skimmed but it's amazing the USA always still acts like they made us go to war in Korea.....so it's all their fault. I forget how many millions of Koreans we killed. Is it true that Mao had a son that was killed by the USA in Korea...I saw that once and don't know if it is true?
And to regularly practice to invade North Korea with all the cash wasted machines and weapons and ammunition and planes tanks howitzers and women and men soldiers and ssilers and marines and air forces and the cia and nsa probably the corps of engineers....to practice invading another country all the pollution toxic waste climate change mass extinction...Such a waste.
You basically got the gist of it haha. On the app there should be an audio play feature at the top by the way, but it's an AI voice and the inflection can be pretty subpar.
The story about Mao's son is true. Mao Anying was killed during the shelling of his outputs during the war. He volunteered as part of the People's Volunteer Army and served as a Russian language interpreter and secretary at the Headquarters of the PVA.
There's a pretty racist joke about how he was "cooking egg fried rice" which gave away his position and how it "prevented a Mao dynasty" in China but one would have to be a fool to to repeat this story. The real story is that Mao worried sick every day -- as all parents did -- but didn't prevent his son from going because he couldn't and shouldn't.
A sad history for Korea and a revealing look into the pure evil of the US government in terms of their devastating roles in Korea and Japan; and mostly to counter the opposing ideology of the Soviets whom the US perceived as a threat to their own global ambitions. They really are the worst!
Really informative analysis, Crit. Thanks for sharing this.

Very informative. Thank you!
Thanks for reading!
You're welcome😊
Just like Taiwan
Yes. South Korea is a colony and a puppet of the United States.
Very interesting article. I knew of the South's military dictatorship history, but much of this had escaped me.
Could you please recommend some books on the subject? I read voraciously so even if you have 4 or 5 in mind I'd be most appreciative.
I can recommend this page https://en.prolewiki.org/wiki/Korea#References and specifically the References, there's a lot of books and articles to choose from there. Happy browsing 😁
