“Israel” — both the government and its citizens — have already written off the Gaza POWs taken on October 7 as losses. Despite over 60% of these POWs being confirmed IOF soldiers and 60 of them having been killed by the nonstop bombing of their own government on the Gaza Strip, the Zionist Entity still persists in calling them innocent civilians with the hashtag “BringThemHome” [in body bags].
Worse yet, even after their death, Zionists attempt to exploit their own people for propaganda purposes.
You’ve likely heard of Shani Louk, the Israeli-German national who attended a rave 3 kilometers away from the concentration camp that is Gaza on October 7.
She was filmed on the back of a pickup truck driving back to Gaza on the same day, unresponsive and presumed dead. A few days later, her mother claimed she had received confirmation on the phone that her daughter was still alive and being treated in a Gazan hospital.
In early November, her mother then announced that her daughter had been pronounced dead. Since October 7, both settlers and the “Israeli” government tried to spin her death (even before it was confirmed, though we’ll get back to that) as a tragic story, using Shani as a latent pawn in their agenda to legitimize Zionism.
A ‘latent pawn’ because at that stage, Shani — in critical condition in a Gazan hospital — could not consent to being used like this. While she was fighting for her life, the Zionist entity had already written her off as a casualty and moved on from trying to save her to turning her into a symbol.
What we can actually infer
The actual circumstances surrounding Shani Louk that we can infer from released media are clear-cut: she got wounded somehow at the rave (there is now growing evidence that the IOF attacked the rave; aerial footage was also leaked), was brought to a hospital in Gaza — this is when the video on the pickup truck was filmed — and died there after adequate treatment could not be delivered either because her injuries were too severe, or because doctors, with more patients than professionals to take care of them, had to make the difficult choice of focusing their efforts on someone who had a higher chance to live. This decision would have been a difficult but realistic one, as all hospitals in Gaza have been bombed and have had to halt services due to the embargo causing fuel and materials shortage.
As of November 17, the situation is even more dire, with most hospitals having simply stopped operations in Gaza due to the IOF advance and lack of fuel. Notably, the Al-Shafi hospital has been besieged by the occupation forces and all doctors driven out. With no care providers and no electricity, all patients in the ICU at al-Shifa have died.
However, her death is not entirely confirmed. Her mother did announce it to the media, but the part that is often left out is that she bases this belief on what “Israeli” officials have told her, which we’ll get into.
Zionists have a different conclusion, though. They believe Hamas killed her, because all deaths that happen in “Israel” are obviously caused by Hamas and their psychic rays. They believed that she was already dead when she was filmed on the truck. When her mother confirmed that Shani was alive in a hospital, they attacked the mother herself, saying she was lying or covering for Hamas. When Shani was pronounced dead, Occupation President Isaac Herzog made up ludicrous stories about Hamas “beheading” Shani — an attempt to play on the audience’s Islamophobia and link Hamas to ISIS, even though the two have nothing in common and actually fought each other in Gaza while the IOF was funding the latter.
The problem is we’re not entirely sure Shani is dead. The IOF said they found a skull fragment on the festival grounds, which they analyzed and said was hers. But the IOF also routinely lies about their casualties and evidence. See for example the story of the “40 beheaded babies” which even Biden admitted had no basis (after he “mistakenly” said he’d seen the non-existent photos).
Shani still had blood to spill
After Shani’s death was announced, other settlers started denying her “Israeli” roots. Many Zionist Twitter accounts referred to her simply as a German national.
What we now know about Shani is that she has never lived outside “Israel”. She is a settler; Louk is a German/English name with most representation in the United States.
Calling Shani a German national specifically is not an innocent gesture on their part. It’s very insidious.
The purpose of denying Shani’s nationality, denying she is an “Israeli” compatriot, serves the propaganda war against Hamas to the world audience. It’s supposed to make you think “Hamas is my enemy too, look, they kill Europeans!”
In other words, this goes beyond simple distortion of facts. It’s a cruel act; Shani has become a symbol of propaganda for Zionism against her expressed consent and will — consent she could not make known as she fought for her life in a destroyed hospital.
It’s denying her identity, lying about it, lying about who she is as a person, against her will, just so that the occupier can justify a genocide.
And we are supposed to think that ‘Israel’ is a moral country?
This is how the Zionist Entity treats its citizens. Even in death, you still have blood to give. You are only valued insofar as you are useful to the colonial project. Once you have nothing left they can take from you, you will be discarded and written off (like the 60+ POWs “Israel” has already killed through their endless bombing of Gaza).
Shani Louk, while a settler, still had agency. She was taken to a Gazan hospital to be treated by Palestinians, who extended more care and humanity to her than her own country did.
Shani was not “paraded”
From the first day Zionists learned of Shani’s existence, they have been parading her on social media and in the media. She’s a young, attractive woman that was just having fun on a Saturday morning; she’s the perfect candidate for absurd propaganda.
This propaganda included that she was “paraded” “half-naked” on a truck. I don’t know if we saw the same video, because that’s not what it looked like to me.
In the video, we see an unresponsive person lying face down on the back of a pickup truck. An armed Palestinian, presumably from the resistance, sits next to her with his leg arcing over her body (but never directly touching her, this should be noted). At some point in the video, another Gazan comes up to the truck and spits on her.
These are the events of the video.
Now for the analysis.
Zionist propagandists quickly ran the story that she had her “clothes torn off to be paraded on the back of the truck, while a mob of Palestinians spit on her”.
At no point in the video do we see a “mob” surrounding the truck. She is being guarded by a soldier who has to arc his leg over her to fit in the truck — why they did it like this is because it’s dangerous to move an injured person if you don’t know what you’re doing, and it also allowed him to stop her from falling out of the moving truck.
I would go so far as to ask why she needed someone guarding over her. I believe the guard was expressly here to make sure nobody attempted to touch her (which, by the way, we see no instances of in the video). The guard never looked or ogled at her. He seemed mostly bored.
As for the clothes, people who find an issue with what she was wearing clearly have never been to raves. Wearing a bra for a top at a rave is quite common for women that are Shani’s age. It’s also possible she was getting changed when she got injured — videos from other festival-goers show that it happened early in the morning as some were getting into their cars.
The fact that a man spits on her does not bother me. In this moment, in this instant, Gazans felt more freedom than they had ever been allowed since 1967. They have been living under occupation for decades, growing up under the bombings, the fence, the electricity shortages. Never knowing if tomorrow was going to be their last day. In this moment, frankly, I don’t really care if someone thought she was IDF.
The video, in fact, throws a wrench in the whole theory that a piece of her skull was found on the festival grounds. If such a piece of her skull was missing (one that, apparently, she could not live without), then why is she not bleeding profusely in the video?
Never mind the fact that the Zionist regime is known to lie about everything for propaganda purposes.
If Zionists have a problem with my interpretation of the video however, then they can try to bring arguments and evidence that would contradict me. But as it stands, my interpretation is just as valid (even moreso in fact) than whatever atrocity propaganda they can make up about this young woman.
